Changes to the Post page

The plugin makes the Post page look like this:

The plugin replaces the Subject: box on with three boxes for the type of post, item and location, and adds hints about how to use them. You fill in these boxes, and then the plugin converts these to the correct subject line when the message is sent.

Fair Offer Policy

If your group is configured to use it, it adds a checkbox for the Fair Offer Policy. The text for this might vary from group to group, but it will be something like this:

 Fair Offer Policy: I agree to take a period of time to see what responses I get before 
 deciding who to give item(s) to. This gives members on Daily Digest, or those who don't 
 have continual access to the Internet a fair chance to reply.

It's up to you whether or not you check this box, but it's good if you could think about it. You might also find that waiting a while has other advantages - for example you might get a nice reply later which makes you think "Oh, I wish I hadn't given it away already".

Footer

Depending on your group's configuration, the plugin may add a footer to your message, to help promote the plugin.  This shows that the plugin was used, and may also show whether you used Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

The text may vary from group to group, but it will look something like this:

Turning it on or off

You can disable or enable the plugin using this button:

This will remember your setting on this machine for each group.
